Some lessons learn from living...

There is not a week that does not go by, someone does not tell me or suggest I write a book, or asked when is the book coming out. I work in an institution of higher learning and inspite of the madness, being around young adults is wonderful. College students live so raw, real, and visceral it is crazy; but more importantly they are more honest than most in the complements or statements of others. Then, I realize, I am writing a book every time I write in my blog….And I will share some of the wisdom I have gleam from my years of living….

1. We would live with a lot less stress if we begin to live who we, and not seeking to be the top this or that; just live the best you, and see peace reign.
2. No one makes us mad. Most people have not invested enough in anyone to know, what they know, and what is done, is a sensitive areas in your life is touch upon, and we react; no more, no less, and that is what triggers our anger
3. If we would be more willing to give what we are seeking from others in this life, we would be not only what we are seeking, but more.
4. We need stop trying to make the biological family be what we want. Because we are not perfect or have all the answers, nor should we sit longingly for the family of someone else, either. You are in the family you are, to make you the best you, learn the lessons, and thank God for the grace, and see the family of love of blood and love develop itself.
5. We really should stop trying to make every skin to you, fit in our mode of being. Let them live honesty in their truth, finding their way to their best without you begrudging them or demonizing them for not fitting in yours; we do not like it when it is done to us, don’t do it to anyone else.
6. Accept the fact your idea of the maturation and the evolution of life does not fit everyone. Because everything is not for everyone, even it if it is the traditional way of living, there has always been, and always shall be the outliner that are not deviate, just not fitting into your mode. If they are peace, so should you be for them and for yourself, knowing everyone is living their truth.
7. Take some time to look outside your own life experiences. What you will find there shall teach what words, circumstances, and textbook never will, and see a expansive and inclusive, not exclusive, perspective develop.
8. Sometimes silent is golden because an answer live, without negative is a well form response.
9. Going into any situation with the perspective of negative or ill-intent, will always result, for you, an unexpected outcome that will unabashedly piss you off; and your fault.
10. The compass to the answer, the solution to all problems is found within the problems, if we are willing to step back out of the emotional-driven state to see it…

Be responsible and live life with the same vigor, confidence, and security of self, you have when you walk in the room with your best outfit, shoes, tie, suit, or smell-good on, then you will see life change not only for you, but for all that come in contact with you. I see it, everything time I do, and it intoxicating hug like feeling and it feels good!

Colorblindness

Colorblindness is not the absence of color or the failure to see color. It is the ability to look beyond it. See, we too many time say we are colorblind, but when we look up, our circle of friends, acquaintances, and associates, there is an eerie sense of an monotone beat. We tend to, without thinking, choose individuals who are skin to us, to be kin to us in family we create out of love and intentional choices. In doing so, we lose out on experiences which would other wise enrich our lives, expand our perspective, and guarantee an objective lens for us to look through; unlike the looking glass of Alice in wonderland, this bring variety and unity unknown but needed..It is allows for us to no longer be the figurative hunted one, but the one who figuratively hunts for the best, so the best in self is cultivated and found. Then the strength in character is seen because it is in the content, and we are able to come face to face with what seem insurmountable, and a nameless nemesis dissipates because fear is seen as a healthy expression to the unknown, but not a stoppage to it. The best is seen in each person, and it doesn't matter what physical presentation is seen, we see the truth glistening through shining bring, and no longer illusive to us. Colorblindness reacquaints us with intellectual prowess, an in depth faith, and a masterful presence of spiritual keenness; we find peace in diversity's rainbow sensibilities. Because the best was sought, seen, and held onto for dear life...we change, we grow by choice, because we strive to live the true value of all the pieces God created in his majestic cosmic heaven creation called - human...Eph. 4:15-16 - Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work..NIV...Colorblindness is not part of who we are, if we are to live and walk the Christian exampled by Christ, it is an intricate and essential part of who we are......think about

It is all in your attitude...it does determine your altitude....

The difference maker in this life is our attitude, and it determines our altitude. This is the thermostat to our soul, it is tells more about who we are, how we feel, and inform others of where we stand, more than words could ever tell. Your attitude creates the masterpiece called you; whether we like it or not. Thus, it is incumbent upon each of us to be determined to possess a positive attitude. So, be the change you wish to see in others because it only takes one determine focused soul willing to stand to make a difference in order for the ripple-effect of change to appear, and for change to be made.

John Maxwell put this way from his book ‘The Maxwell Daily Reader’ about attitude:

It is the vanguard of your true self.
Its root is inward but its fruit is outward.
It is your best friend or worst enemy.
It is more honest and consistent about you than your words.
It is your outward look based on your past experiences.
It is what draws people to you or repel them.
It is never content until it is expressed.
It is the librarian of your past.
It is the speaker of your present.
It is the prophet of your future.

I pray we each make a conscious effort to think about our attitude...For this window into our soul, make a difference in all we do...

Water lens and now I see clearly....

Today was not good. I have had to move beyond my emotions, my heart, and my truth. I stood and follow the rules, addressed the problems, and did the right thing. But it does not feel good. I had to encourage myself because no one gets it. Yeah, they see that there is something wrong but truth tells them, I do not want to know…I have learned more, taught more, and seen more than I care to see; all I want to do is say go away. But what really bothers me is this, the madness that is displayed is the madness produce, and reproduce by us our own creative ways. What do I mean by produced and reproduce? Well, we help to produce the madness around us by our unwillingness to face the truth, or live authentically because it is more convenient or comfortable, and we reproduce it because it is tradition and tactical is what we pursue. We forget strategic focus and push, takes us to the same place, with fewer mistakes and resulting sustainable outcome. Instead, we would rather leave things ‘as is’ nameless, unspoken issues that will work themselves out; eventually, but never do. When what really happens is we see it manifest in our madness, in our confusion, in our anger, in our disagreement, etc., and we address the symptoms but never the root of the problem. Thus, we feed the unwanted problems with our intentional actions of perpetual the half-truths, and okay-truths, and by default we create the messiness that stands before us. Why? Because we have opted for emotional driven focus over a character-driven focus, all because it quicker, and we forget this old adage – we can play now, and pay later, or we can pay now, and play later. See, in the end we all have to pay for what we created by omission or commission, by default or intent. What is the saying, consent by silence. I never wanted to be a part of that crowd, and wonder when will we finally get it – life cannot be lived in the secret rooms, the temper tantrum moments, or the hysterical days. Life has to be lived out loud where the main street meets the side streets, and we see each other for the first time. Then we know, it is really not like I thought, and life is more than what I was taught; it is bigger. It is more expansive, and living and searching beyond my life experiences, and seeking to live beyond this moment, while earnestly living out every itty miniscule of this experience right now. Breathing, refreshing myself, in the newness of truth, and basking in the warm glow of it is bigger than me but I have a part to play. Because the world does change, when one person with a pure heart, unselfish vision, and inclusive approach stands unabashed and real for all to see…Well, this is not found in a text book, scholarly research, well written book, or in the hallow halls of academia…It is found in living the life one day at a time as Christ asked, knowing trusting, obeying, through the tears allows one to see, what clear unwatered eyes dared not to see clearly….1 Cor. 2:9 - But as it is written: "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." (21st KJV)
