Leadership to me

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,  and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matt. 20:26-28
The above verse tells us quite simply, if you want to be leader of all, we need to know, we must be the servant for all. Now, who wants to be a leader? I am not saying you have let others use you, taken advantage of you, or be disrespected. I am saying leadership is not about you being grandiose or ostentatious. It’s about knowing,  you are to be available to help, assist, or provide to others. You set the tone on behavior, and when no one is abiding, at minimal, you stand firm serving, in spite of whatever else is happening. In the words of Rudyard Kipling in the first stanza of his poem ‘If’ – if you can keep your head when all about you/Are losing theirs and blaming it on you/If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you/But make allowance for their doubting too/If you can wait and not be tired by waiting/Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies/Or being hated, don’t give way to hating/And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise…I do not know many leaders, in or out of the sanctified consecrated halls of God physical dwelling place really epitomize  this. Leadership the illusive stranger, many desires to have but are unwilling to do the work it requires to embody; either they don’t know or don’t want to do…
See, it is not always about a position but the person. As we see in the verses above, the emphasis is not on the position but describes a state of being or consciousness.  There is strength in being humble. For the weak in spirit, mind or the faint heart finds true leadership difficult. Serving others is not just about a task, but the availability of your ‘presence’ which seamlessly, unconsciously grants others peace. Leaders breathe life and liberty to all who come in contact with them; for serving includes a particular effect or impact. Christ knew this, and drew light from darkness, brought beauty from ashes, and gave us a garment of praise for our mourning in this life. He taught love, rather than divisive enmity to use in this world. He crafted it into an art form disagreement without being disagreeable, and addressing the issue, rather attacking the person in conflict.  Leadership, standing tall accepting the attacks, whereby others can have the opportunity to live free, in their truth, and changed through love.  See, any memorable leader, at some point, has counted the cost, and decided whatever the cost, it is worth it. Leadership is what, it is, the ability to walk, talk, and move among the mavens, the pundits, the experts of the day but never lose the common touch of virtue, forgiveness and service….smiling

Is your house in order?

Order my step in the word dear Lord, lead me, guide me, every day, send your annointing, Father I pray, please order my steps in the word..
Order, we have said at one time or another -God is not the author of confusion...Am I right, you remember saying that too...Okay...I want to know if that is true, why do we wish to bring God into compounded mess, confusion. We ask God to deliver, beseeching to Christ intercede on our behalf when we are only half ready to concede. I am not talking about being unsure, or not knowing. I am talking about us Christian, or those of us who profess to be Christians. Our life is in a physical disarray, and we are asking God to fix this one thing, but we are not quite sure if we want Him to touch anything else because it is working for me. Yes, I am comfortable with it, right or not. However, how many of us realize, know that when God enters in to our life all things changes, because we are new creature, renewed by love grace of Christ. Prayer is the key, but faith unlocks the door, and love makes all thing possible for you to concede to Christ example...Order
Things to think about:
God please fix or enlarge my territory: my husband, children, church, job, boss, home, marriage, loneliness, car, finances, relationship, coach, health, teacher, professor, all struggles period...HELP me GOD!!! I am on the mercy seat of need....Order, first we must understand we belong to God, as you say with your children, and your parents said to you, you are mine and you do what I say. Thus, we must be obedient to what ever He send us to because like our parents, it is for our good..And when we disobey, we have consequence but we are going to be the better and have a testimony that will help another...I am not lying, just look through the bible plenty of example - David, Saul, Ezekiel, Paul, Peter, Elijah, Noah, Job, Rahab, Esther, Deborah, Hannah, Sarah, Caleb, you get the picture... We do not see it now, but the blessings are coming just keep believing in God promise (keep loving, daily praying, and having faith). Walking in the will, learning and maturing in God sends you here - Eccl 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. do not be afraid God has you. Know the order

Order....God never takes you anywhere without warning you first, think about it.God always prepares you. Christ prepared the disciplines, even they were not there yet when they were told. They were given all the tools need for the kingdom building in HIs absence in the physical body...order...Look again at Habakuk 2...order..though it tarry, wait for it..it does not lie...
Lastly, know that when you are in order with God, you are out of order with man. when you are out of order with God, it is going to cost you because He is going to show you, you, so that you can get over yourself, and reach for HIM totally and completely!!..remember those beating when we were disobedient as a child...it is going to hurt me, more than it hurt you..if you are a parent you or in a parental role, you understand that now...order I Cor. 2:9-16

Duality of Family…

Duality of family is something, I woke up with this on my mind this morning. Think we all wake up with something on our mind to do, say or accomplish, but most just push it away as annoyance. What if we all paid attention to it, how different our lives would be…I digress…
The duality of family appears for all of us. It is when what is desired does not happen, and we begin to construct a perspective, not out of love, but from a motive of self-righteous motives; my way, not God’s way of right. We begin to alienate others because they do not tow the line of the family, not stopping to think maybe the family line is not the correct line of God. It is where our envy and jealousy are taken in daily dosages, like a required medical necessity pharmaceutical allowing us to sustain our life, and it is. The funny thing is, it is required to be taken, if we are to sustain our life ‘as is.’ But it does not allow for tangible rewards of fundamental progressive change outside of our own personal experiences, and love unconditional. The duality of the family is the wanting what is right for us, showing the right face to others, while tearing down the family core from the inside out; it implodes on itself. Too many times we achieve change, progress beyond our truth by accident, rather than intent, thus it cannot be replicated. See change is a daily intentional task, not an accidental occurrences, i.e. taking up our cross daily. The recognition of the fact, we are both godly and humanly, therefore, we must seek the balance from the Heavenly Father for instruction, and not our own divine understanding; it is tight but right. So, we can charter a future minus the co-pilots of jealousy and envy. Otherwise, we forget God gave us all freewill that allows for revitalization and renewal, so we can fall down, and He allows us to get up not holding our moments of weakness against us because of the imbedded unconditional love for us. However, the failure to acknowledge our duality put us in an imbalance, we begin replicate with no substance and only fluff. We become stagnate, diluted and over saturated in a viewpoint that does not allow the struggles of today pain to see the joy coming our way in both the literal and figurative morning of our life…James 3:14-17 - But if ye have bitter envy and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. Such wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envy and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. (21st KJV) See duality of the family never permits us to see v. 17. It becomes more of the judge and the jury, when it was never for us to be. We have the pendulum of being human take the weight, and the godliness gets push further and further back until what we think is god-like is a mistaken identity constructive to fit our pigeon-hole box, we assigned to God. Just like the duality of a person, accepting we are both allows the family to not get caught into the indicators of love that are not real because the balance is off. When we begin to tackle the difficult dialogues hidden in the fear and selfishness in our family, we are able to find, appreciate, and learn from it. Duality of the family only bestows balance when forgiveness shows us it is more than rhetoric, beyond disagreeable conflict, and struggles and hardship are part of being human. And like Christ, we all are to make sacrifices to make a better way for someone else, and not prey those taking the gift, rather pray they pay forward. Instilling in the one receiving a sense of appreciation, and the understanding there is a pay it forward, and pay it back...See with the duality of family is out of balance, no one wins and the family structural integrity crumbles…

Thanksgiving

A thanksgiving prayer
On this day we remember the gift of giving thanks,
On this day we remember a day when differences do not matter, when the eyes of the heart are used,
On this day we remember, we are all connected, we all have importance, and it is real,
On this day we remember, we are humble by the vastness of what it represents
God’s grace toward us, and we have a 'holy moment’ as we say thank you! Amen

So, as each of you eat your turkey, varied dressings, green bean casserole, candied yams, rolls, mashed potatoes, carrots, and libation or tea, or whatever your meal consist of for the day, remember the spirit that surround you this day, is one we choose to have for today. The holiday mindset we personify during this time of year, to help, to give, to show kindness, to put aside differences, etc is a choice, we choose to have. A choice we can make each day, as we choose to forgive more, to live more honestly, and let go more of man's perceptions of God loves, mercy, grace, and forgiveness that inhibits us. To let the our understanding of His unconditional love envelopes us, become an indwelling in us, and our constant companion with us. So, that the ignorant words of man does not stop us from answering God with our truth, with hearts, and with our spirits. Then we shall see, and breathe these verse with a newness and exuberance  - Psalm 100:4-5  Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise Give thanks to Him and praise His name For the LORD is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations. The person in the mirror

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror  and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.  James 1:23-24 NIV
The person in the mirror, who is this individual? Is this person the one who speaks a truth but does not apply it to their own life? Is it the person who corrects another with a swift tongue, poignant word, and focus goal but does not accept this from another? Maybe this person is the one who, believes it is important and necessary to follow all the rules, policies, procedures, until it does not benefit them? The problem is we have all been this individual, at one time or another. But let us look at this phenomenon in light of the verses above.
The verses speak of a person who listens to the word but does not do what it says. Taken literally, it means you don’t apply the information you say, you gained and understood. It does not stick or stay with you after the impartation takes place. We are not doers. The questions that comes to mind, then what was gathered, gained? Why do it? We Christian are a funny lot; we have not understood the Father is looking for doers of the word, not just gathers of the word. Looking for those who does knows and applies, not just have it to say, ‘I know’. Neither is He looking for the person, who only does when they feel like it because Christianity is not about a feelings, although it evokes cornucopia of feelings in us.
The problem does not lie with the word, it lies with the people. We want to teach, preach, or be exegetical, without having to apply, implement, transform. For some reason, excuses are provided for why we didn’t, why we don’t, or unable to do so. Yet, the bible states this -  "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." Isa. 61:3 KJV. So, what are we afraid of, ‘man’s, response, or we do live with a lie about who we are, therefore, we cannot be true to no man? So, who is the person in the mirror? Is it the person who lives in duplicity because it easy, and no one ever bothers you? Or you the person who, gets this statement made by the Son - Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Matt. 20:26-28 NIV – with such gravity warm tears form from the depths of your soul, the body quakes, the mind hears the angels sing GLORY, and the heart knows, I am here to serve what you will, I will!. …Your choice, your life…choose well
